Ask for a feature

Tell us what theCallboard should do next, vote for what others asked, and hear when it's on the way.

Wish theCallboard did something it doesn't? Ask for it. Everyone who uses theCallboard can see the requests, vote for the ones they want, and add comments. The theCallboard team reads them and marks where each one stands.

Open Ask theCallboard

• On the web, open your account menu (your name, bottom left) and choose Ask for a feature.
• Or go straight to ask.theCallboard.app.
• In the phone apps, open Account → Profile. Under Help, tap Ask for a feature.

You need to be signed in to theCallboard.

Ask for something

1. Choose Ask for something.
2. Under What would you like theCallboard to do?, write a short title, like "Print the call sheet in large type."
3. As you type, theCallboard shows requests that sound similar under Already asked? Vote for it instead. If one matches, open it and vote for it instead.
4. Under Tell us more, say what you're trying to do and what gets in the way. This helps us most.
5. Pick the Part of theCallboard it's about, like Schedule, Reports or iPhone & Android apps.
6. Choose Send.

Your request counts your vote right away.

Vote and comment

• Choose the arrow next to a request to vote for it. The number is how many people voted. Choose it again to take your vote back.
• Open a request to read its comments. Add your own under Comments: how you'd use it, or a way it could work. Then choose Comment.

Use the buttons at the top to see All requests or only Open, Planned, In progress or Done ones. Sort by Most votes or Newest, or use Search requests.

Follow a request

The theCallboard team gives each request a status:

• Open: asked, and waiting for a look.
• Planned: we mean to build it.
• In progress: we're working on it.
• Done: it's in theCallboard now.
• Not planned: we don't plan to build it.

The team may add a note that everyone sees, and their comments are marked theCallboard team.

If you asked for something or voted for it, you get a notice in your updates when it's marked Planned, In progress or Done. If you asked, you also hear when the team comments on it.

Change or delete your request

While your request is still Open, open it and choose Edit or Delete. Deleting it removes its votes and comments too. You can delete your own comments any time with the trash can.

For young performers

A child's view-only sign-in can read requests, but can't ask, vote or comment. Ask a parent or guardian to send a request for you.
