Join a show as cast or crew
Cast & crew
Accept your invitation, fill in your details for the company, and start getting your calls.
You've been cast, hired or asked to help out, and the stage manager uses theCallboard. Here's how to get in and get your calls. If you're under 13, a parent or guardian sets you up instead: see Join as a parent or guardian.
Accept your invitation
Your invitation comes by email from theCallboard.
- Open the link in the email.
- New to theCallboard? Choose Create account. Already have an account? Choose Sign in.
- Use the same email address the invitation was sent to.
- Choose Accept invitation.
Create your account
If you're making a new account:
- Under Who's signing up?, choose I'm in the company.
- Enter your first and last name, your email and a password of at least 10 characters.
- Choose Create account, then open the confirmation link we email you.
Under 13? Choose I'm under 13 instead. We'll email your parent or guardian a link so they can set you up.
Fill in your details
After you accept, theCallboard may ask for a few details the company needs:
- Your name, plus an optional Preferred name (what the company calls you).
- A Headshot for the cast list and program.
- A short Bio.
Choose Save and continue, or Skip for now and do it later on your Account page. Joined from an audition? You'll see what you sent with it (like your headshot and conflicts) and can use it in one tap with Looks right — use these.
You can change all of this any time. See Your profile, alerts and text messages.
Find your calls
Your home page shows Today and Coming up. My schedule shows every call you're in, across all your shows. Open a call and choose Confirm I'll be there so your stage manager knows you're coming. See Read your schedule and confirm calls.
Can't make a rehearsal? Tell the stage manager early by filing a conflict. See File and review conflicts.
Your show's pages
Choose your show in the menu to open its pages: Schedule, Script, Reports, Files, Company, Chat and Conflicts. Each has its own guide:
Get reminders
- Get the phone app for notifications the moment a call changes. See The iPhone and Android apps.
- Add your mobile number for text reminders. See Your profile, alerts and text messages.
- Put your calls in your phone or computer calendar. See Add your calls to your calendar.
