Read rehearsal reports

Everyone

Find the reports your stage managers publish, and what the attendance notices for families mean.

After a rehearsal, stage management writes a report: what was worked on, who was there and notes for each department. Once they publish it, everyone in the company can read it. Parents and guardians can read the reports for their child's show too.

Get notified

When a report is published, everyone in the company gets a notice in theCallboard, such as "Rehearsal report #12 published". Open it to go to the show. Parents and guardians can find the report on the show's Reports page.

Find a report

  1. Open the show at on.theCallboard.app.
  2. Choose Reports in the menu.
  3. Pick a report. The newest is at the top, with its number and date.

On iPhone and Android, open the show and tap Reports.

What's in a report

Reports don't all have every part. You'll see the parts your stage manager filled in:

  • Times: call, start, breaks and end.
  • Summary: what the company worked on.
  • Attendance: who was present, late, absent or excused.
  • Accidents and injuries: says "None reported." when there weren't any.
  • Department notes: notes for lighting, costumes, props and the other departments.
  • Attachments: files that came with the report. Some are shared with only certain departments, so you may not see them all.
  • Schedule notes for next time.

At the bottom you'll see who prepared it and when it was published.

On the web, open the report and select Print.

Attendance notices for families

Some companies let parents and guardians know about attendance. If yours does, you get a notice when your child is marked:

  • "Lily was checked in"
  • "Lily arrived late"
  • "Lily was marked absent"

The notice names the show and the call. Open it to see that call on your schedule. These notices can arrive before the full report is published.

Don't get them? Your company may not use them. Ask your stage manager.

Can't see reports?

  • Reports appear only after they're published. Drafts are private to the managers.
  • A child signed in with a family code doesn't see reports. Their parent or guardian does.
