Plans, limits and billing
Managers
Compare the plans, watch your usage, change plans, buy extra texts or ScriptWizard analyses, and manage payment.
Your organization has one plan, and it covers all of its shows. This guide explains what each plan includes, how to see what you've used, and how to pay. Owners and admins manage billing; payments are handled securely by Stripe.
Find the Billing page
- Sign in at on.theCallboard.app and open your organization.
- Click Billing in the sidebar. (On the Overview, the plan box has a Billing link too.)
The top of the page says which plan you're on, and whether you're on a trial.
Your free trial
Your first organization starts with a 14-day trial of Pro, with up to 50 texts. When it ends, the organization moves to Free unless you pick a plan. Nothing is deleted. The trial is once per person, so organizations you create later start on Free.

Every plan includes reminders, schedules, reports, scripts and auditions. Storage, texts, Magic Imports and ScriptWizard analyses are shared by all of the organization's productions. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free.

Check your usage
The Usage box on the Billing page shows a bar for each limit:
- Active productions: closed and archived shows don't count. A closed show counts again only while it's extended.
- Storage: posters, scripts, files and audition uploads.
- Texts this month.
- Magic Imports this month: imports of schedules and cast or crew lists.
- ScriptWizard analyses this month.
The storage, texts and ScriptWizard bars are split into a colored piece for each show, so you can see which show is using what. A small key underneath names each show and its share. Gray is the organization's own files, like its logo. Near the limit the numbers turn amber, and at the limit they turn red.
Monthly allowances reset on the 1st and don't roll over.
If you reach a limit, theCallboard tells you. For example, you can't start a new show when your active productions are used up. Close or archive one, or move to a bigger plan.
On iPhone and Android
Owners and admins see the same usage on the organization's page in the app: active shows against your limit, and bars for storage, texts and ScriptWizard. To change your plan, tap Billing, which opens on the web.
Choose or change your plan
- On the Billing page, pick Monthly or Yearly: 2 months free above the plans.
- Click Choose Lite, Choose Pro or Choose Max. (During your trial, the button on Pro says Keep Pro.)
- Finish paying on Stripe's secure page. You'll come back to theCallboard when you're done.
Once you're subscribed, use Manage billing to switch plans or billing period, update your card, see invoices or cancel.
Buy more texts
Text packs are available on Lite, Pro and Max. Find them under More texts on the Billing page.
Monthly add-ons renew every month with your plan:
- +250 texts for $6/mo each
- +1,000 texts for $20/mo each
Use + and − to set how many, then click Save (the button shows the new monthly total). You can change or remove them any time, and changes are prorated.
One-time add-ons are a tech-week boost: 250 texts for $8, paid once and good until the end of this month. Pick how many (+250, +500, +750 or +1,000), then click the Buy button.
Buy more ScriptWizard analyses
One analysis reads a whole script and lays out its characters, scenes, songs and who's in each. Extras are $2.00 for 3, paid once.
- Under Need more ScriptWizard analyses? on the Billing page, pick +3, +9 or +15.
- Click the Buy button. It shows how many you're getting and the price.
Bought analyses never expire. They're used after the month's included ones. You can also add your own AI key in your organization's Settings. See Upload a script and break it down with ScriptWizard.
Ticket sales
The bottom of the Billing page is also where you set up ticket payouts and choose who pays ticket fees. See Sell tickets.
Owning several organizations
You can own up to 3 organizations that aren't on a paid plan. To start a fourth, delete one or put one on a paid plan. See Your organization: people, shows and settings.
