Join as a parent or guardian

Families

Make a family account, add your child, and accept their invitation so their calls and notices come to you.

If your child is in a show that uses theCallboard, you'll get their calls, schedule changes and notices with their name on them. Children under 13 don't need an account of their own. You make one family account, and add them to it.

Make your family account

  1. Go to on.theCallboard.app and choose Create an account.
  2. Under Who's signing up?, choose I'm a parent or guardian.
  3. Use your own name and email, not your child's. If the company sent you an invitation, use the email address it was sent to.
  4. Choose a password of at least 10 characters, then Create account.
  5. Open the confirmation link we email you.

Add your child

  1. Open your account menu (your name, bottom left) and choose Family. Or choose Add a child on your home page.
  2. Choose Add a child under 13.
  3. Enter your Child's first name and Last name, and pick what you are to them (Parent, Guardian, Grandparent or Family).
  4. Choose Add child.

Do this for each child. Your teen already has their own account? Choose Link a performer 13 or older and enter the email they sign in with. They approve the request in their own account.

Accept your child's invitation

When the stage manager invites your child, the invitation comes to your email.

  1. Open the link in the email and sign in.
  2. Pick your child from the list. If they're not in your family yet, choose Add name to my family.
  3. Choose Accept invitation.

Invited more than one child to the same email? They're listed under Also invited, to this same email, and you can accept them all at once.

Your invitations also show on your home page under Invitations, with an Accept for button for each child.

See and confirm their calls

Your child's calls now appear on My schedule, next to any of your own. Use the buttons at the top (Everyone, or one person's name) to see everyone's calls together or just one person's.

Open a call and choose Confirm name will be there so the stage manager knows to expect them. See Read your schedule and confirm calls.

Add safety information

Stage managers need to know who to call in an emergency. On Account → Family, choose Emergency, health & pick-up next to your child to add emergency contacts, allergies and other health notes, and who may pick them up. See Emergency contacts, health notes and pick-up lists.

Let your child see their own calls

You can let your child sign in on their own phone, view only.

  1. On Account → Family, choose Sign-in & chat next to your child.
  2. Tick Let name sign in, view only, and choose what else they can see.
  3. Choose Get a sign-in code.
  4. On your child's phone, open theCallboard, choose Use a family code (under 13), and enter the code. It works once, for 15 minutes.

More on this, and on adding another guardian, is in Add your children and manage their access.

Get the phone app

The iPhone and Android apps send you notifications the moment a call changes. Sign in with the same email and password. See The iPhone and Android apps.
