Get your calls on your phone, with notifications, swipe to confirm, widgets and calendar sync.

theCallboard has apps for iPhone and Android. They use the same account as the website, so everything you see at on.theCallboard.app is there too. The apps add notifications, quick swipes to confirm calls, and home-screen widgets.

Download theCallboard from your phone's app store.
Enter the same email and password you use on the web, and choose Sign in. No password handy? Choose Email me a sign-in link instead.
New here? Choose Create an account and answer Who's signing up?
When the app asks, choose Turn on notifications. This is how your stage manager reaches you when a call changes.

Under 13 with a code from a parent? Choose Use a family code (under 13) and type the code. See Add your children and manage their access.

Find your way around

The tabs along the bottom are:

Schedule: every call you're in, as List, Week or Month.
Shows: your current and closed shows, and your organizations. Tap a show for its schedule, script, reports, files, company and chat.
Chat: your conversations.
Updates: schedule changes, new reports and other notices.
Account: your profile, alerts, privacy, family and sign-in.

Some pages, like a show's History, open on the web, already signed in.

Confirm a call with a swipe

On Schedule, swipe a call to the left:

Confirm tells your stage manager you'll be there. A full swipe confirms in one go.
Conflict opens Can't make it, already filled in with the call's times.

Tap a call to see the details, the place (tap it for directions), notes and attached files. See Read your schedule and confirm calls.

Use widgets and shortcuts

Add theCallboard widgets to your home screen: Next call, Today, This week, Opening countdown, and for managers, Confirmations. You can confirm your next call right from the Next call widget.

Press and hold the app icon for shortcuts, like Next call and Can't make it.

Keep reminders working offline

The app keeps a saved copy of your schedule. With no signal, a banner says you're Offline and shows when it was saved.

Under Account → Alerts → On this phone, set an Extra offline reminder (like 1 hour before). It's scheduled on your phone, so it works without a signal.

Sync to your phone's calendar

Under Account → Alerts → Calendar, turn on Add my calls to Calendar (on Android, Add my calls to my calendar). Changes show up within moments. See Add your calls to your calendar.

Use more than one account

Have a school show and a community show under different emails? On Account, choose the Account page, then Add another account. To switch quickly, press and hold the Account tab. Notifications for every account still arrive and open in the right one.

For stage managers

On a show's page, the + button has Add call, Write report and Invite people. You'll also find Announcements and Show settings at the top. Auditions and the public page open on the web. See Build the rehearsal schedule.
