Add your calls to your calendar
Everyone
Put your calls in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook, and keep them up to date automatically.
Your calls can show up in the calendar you already use, next to work, school and everything else. When a call is added, changed or cancelled, your calendar updates too. There are two ways to do it: the phone app's calendar sync, or a calendar link you subscribe to.
Sync with the phone app (fastest)
The iPhone and Android apps put your calls straight into your phone's calendar, and update them within moments of a change.
- Open the Account tab and choose Alerts.
- Under Calendar, turn on Add my calls to Calendar (on Android, Add my calls to my calendar).
- Allow calendar access when your phone asks.
- Under Calendar, choose where your calls go: - A calendar for each show, like "theCallboard – Hamlet". You can give each show its own color, or hide one. - One theCallboard calendar for everything. - Or one of the calendars already on your phone.
To update right away, tap Sync now. Parents: your children's calls are added too.
Turning sync off removes theCallboard's calls, and the calendars it made, from your phone.
If you said no to calendar access by mistake, tap Allow calendar access in Settings.
Subscribe with a calendar link
On a computer, or any calendar app, subscribe to your own private calendar link.
- On the web, open your account menu and choose Alerts. (Or choose Sync to my calendar on My schedule.)
- Under Calendar sync, choose your calendar: - Apple Calendar (iPhone, iPad, Mac) - Google Calendar - Outlook
- Follow your calendar's steps to subscribe.
Using a different calendar app? Choose Copy link and paste it wherever your app asks for a calendar subscription or "calendar from the web."
Cancelled calls stay in your calendar, marked CANCELLED. Drafts never appear.
How fast changes show up
- Apple Calendar checks for changes about every 15 minutes. On iPhone you can set this in Settings → Apps → Calendar → Accounts → Fetch New Data.
- Google Calendar decides when to check, and can take several hours to show a change.
- For changes within seconds on your phone, use the app's calendar sync instead.
Your theCallboard schedule is always the most up to date. If something looks off, check there.
Keep your link private
Anyone with your calendar link can see your calls. If you shared it by mistake, choose New link. Calendars subscribed with the old link stop updating, so subscribe again with the new one.
Share your schedule once
Need to send the next few weeks to a grandparent, carpool or boss, without them subscribing? On My schedule, choose Print / email and email it. They get a calendar file they can add in one tap. See Read your schedule and confirm calls.
